High profile Bel Air family is hiring a Butler to join their staff.  The right candidate must have at least five years of experience in large formal households

Duties to include:

  • Greet principals upon arrival and departure of residence

  • Greet visitors to the home and see to their comfort

  • Manage household projects in partnership with the House Manager

  • Anticipate the family’s needs by learning their preferences, allergies, likes and dislikes

  • Keep inventory lists of all food items and restock while paying close attention to expiration dates on all food and drink items throughout the property

  • Attend to the needs of the principal throughout the day

  • Casual and formal table setting knowledge

  • Formal meal service

  • Event and menu planning (with the household chef)

  • Preparing light family meals when the Chef is not available

  • Work closely with the Chef and assist with meal prep as  necessary for dinner parties and events

  • Communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time for principals

  • Lead housekeeping staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the home

  • Train housekeeping staff on formal service 

  • Work closely with housekeepers to maintain the highest level of cleaning interior and exterior areas of the home

  • Packing and unpacking for the principal for travel and keeping a photo log and inventory of all items that are packed and confirm all items are returned upon arrival when unpacking

  • Care of delicate garments, use of steam press when necessary, assist in wardrobe management


Requirements:

  • Experience working in large homes of at least 12,000 square feet

  • Experience working on staffs with ten or more staff members

  • Experience training and managing staff members

  • Able to work a flexible schedule as determined by the needs of the principal 

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally

  • Commitment to a high-level service

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining calm

  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion
